Educating your daughter

Education starts in the home, within the family. It continues as she joins a playgroup, school, college and perhaps university. Decisions, decisions...!!!

16 - 18

The young woman your daughter has become will seem to be independent and yet she still needs you. She has some significant decisions to make about her academic courses and future direction and wants to be taken seriously. She will want you to relate to her as a fellow adult and yet she is still your baby in many ways. Now she is better able to relate to adults and to appreciate others’ points of view you will have some fascinating and occasionally challenging debates as she establishes herself as an independent young adult. She may be passionate about saving the world and may develop different social and political views from you. Enjoy the discussions, respect her opinions and ask her to respect yours!
