Experience: A former Choral Scholar, freelance singer and ad hoc member of BBC Singers, Alun began his teaching career at The Cathedral School, Llandaff (IAPS 3-13) and The United College of the Atlantic (co-ed 16-18). Alun was appointed Music Master & Choirmaster at Howell’s School, Denbigh (GSA boarding and day, 3-18) in 1992 before taking up the role of Director of Studies in 1994. Following 4 years as Deputy Headmaster and Senior Resident St Mary’s School, Wantage (GSA boarding 11-18) Alun was appointed Principal at St Gabriel’s ,Newbury (GSA day school 3-18) in April 2001. Alun is also an Inspector for the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate.
