Experience: Frances has worked as Head of Religious Studies at a number of schools prior to taking on a senior management role at Tormead, Guildford. She was Deputy Head at St Mary’s Ascot prior to taking up the Headship at Heathfield School, Ascot. She was appointed as Headmistress to Roedean School in April 2008. Frances serves on the GSA Boarding and Universities Committees.

Summary

Frances’ childhood was spent overseas: this inspired her interest in other cultures and religions as well as giving her first hand experience of boarding from an early age. She is a keen proponent of the opportunities to grow in independence available to teenagers through boarding. She is keen to forge strong links with schools across the globe in order that students can gain a global perspective during their time at school. She is the mother of a teenage son and a daughter who has just completed university.
