Louise Robinson

Position: Headmistress

School: Merchant Taylors’ Girls’ School, Crosby

Qualifications: M Ed, BA(Hons) Maths and Computer Science, NPQH, PGCE

Experience: Following graduation Louise was appointed to Bolton School Girls’ Division as assistant teacher in charge of computing and finally as Senior Teacher. She then moved to Manchester High School for Girls as deputy head and after five years was appointed as Prinicpal of Howell’s School, Denbigh for another 5 years. Louise is currently in her fourth year as head of Merchant Taylors’, a 4-18 girls school with a brother school 1 mile away. She is married to a Head of a state 11-16 school with 1 son (away at university studying politics!).

Summary

I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the MyDaughter website. I have spent all my working life in girls’ education and I am passionate about being able to provide girls with the knowledge and understanding to achieve in their lives, wherever that may be!
