Experience: Marion has been Headmistress of James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) since 1994. Immediately before that she was an HMI (Schools), having previously taught in a variety of state and independent schools, adult education (including prisons) and for the Open University. She has published a book on Greek Tragedy, contributed chapters to books on educational leadership and inspection and writes a regular column for an educational paper.

Summary

Marion attended a girls’ grammar school and believes that this enabled her to flourish and gave her the confidence to aim high. She is passionate about education and developing girls as citizens who are committed to making a very positive contribution to society and making a difference to the lives of others.
