Experience: Mike is an economist and taught at the Godolphin School, Salisbury for ten years. This was followed by six years Senior Management experience at Headington School Oxford. He took over the Headship of Kilgraston in 2004 and under his leadership; the school has grown by nearly 40%. Kilgraston is currently the leading boarding school for girls in Scotland.

Summary

Mike is a strong advocate of single sex education for girls. He believes that his own daughter really benefitted from her experience of boarding at Kilgraston. She had a very happy and enjoyable schooling, making the most of the academic environment that girls’ schools provide and has gone on to study Theoretical Physics at St. Andrews university.
