Q. Your best and worst memory of your school days?

Best – I enjoyed ‘O’ levels in terms of variety of subjects and class discussions.

Worst – I found Creative Arts a struggle as I had very little natural talent – but was saved by my enthusiasm and achievements in Home Economics.

Q. What or who inspired you to follow your career?

My outstanding, inspirational Headmistress.

Q. What do you feel you gained by attending a girls’ only school?

Confidence as a leader of teams, and the self belief to always ‘do my best’.

Q. Any advice for parents choosing a school for their daughter?

It is really important to find a good balance of academic and pastoral provision…

Q. Any advice for girls planning their university and/or career choices?

Focus on what you enjoy as well as what you are ‘good’ at.

Safe girls’ only space allows young women to grow up in an atmosphere with less barriers to enable them to achieve their full potential.
