Benenden is a full boarding school for girls. We offer a full and balanced programme with a wide range of extra-curricular activities and an active and popular weekend programme.
Founded in 1923, Benenden School is situated in the heart of the Kent countryside. The mixture of Victorian and more recent buildings are set in 224 acres of beautiful parkland. The School is fully boarding and accommodates 525 girls aged 11-18. There are six boarding houses for 11-16 year olds and there are 182 students in the Sixth Form centre. Benenden is strong academically and enjoys an excellent reputation. The school is also particularly strong in its the pastoral care. All girls are prepared to GCSE, AS Level, A Level and university interviews. Almost all Sixth Form leavers take up university courses. Over £6million has been spent on development over the last five years, including modern boarding accommodation, a state-of-the-art Study Centre and Library, refubished classrooms, new kitchens and dining facilities. The new school theatre opened in October 2007. Benenden has been one of the leading boarding schools in Britain for over 80 years.
