Bromley High School provides an education for girls from the ages of 4 to 18 years which will equip them for life. Founded in 1883, in the centre of Bromley by the Girls’ Day School Trust, it moved in 1981 to Bickley to occupy new buildings set in 24 acres of beautiful grounds. Girls are encouraged to achieve to their full potential, practically, socially and academically. We intend that at the end of year 13 our students are able to say that their time with us was happy, unique and provided excellent opportunities for lifelong learning. Modern facilities include a new Library and Sixth Form block, specialist rooms for Art, Technology and Ceramics, a Music Wing and 4 ICT rooms. Sports facilities include a Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Athletics Track, Tennis Courts, six lane Swimming Pool, Astroturf and a brand new bespoke Drama Theatre.
The Junior School is on the same site sharing the facilities of the Senior School whilst at the same time benefiting from its own specialist rooms for Music, IT and Science. Both Junior and Senior Schools offer a Breakfast Club from 7.30 am and After-School facilities until 5.30pm every day.
We have an excellent record of success at GCSE and A level. In the Sixth Form girls study a wealth of subjects in the refurbished and exciting Sixth Form block. The vast majority of students go on to Higher Education some after gaining additional experience during a Gap Year. We offer an extensive range of extra curricular activities, with Art, Music, Dance, Sport and Drama being particularly strong.
