School head Mrs Cate Mawston
Dodderhill School welcomes children aged 3 to 7 and girls aged 8 to 16. Each pupil is an important member of a community that encourages commitment, creativity and caring for others. From her first day to her last, we will challenge your child academically and help to build her confidence, independence and self-awareness. Active participation in the arts, sports, fundraising and voluntary service enrich an holistic education designed to prepare young women for the modern world.
Starting in Kindergarten by Year 4 all lessons are taught by subject experts, giving pupils the solid understanding and excitement about learning needed for rapid academic progress. A broad curriculum in Years 7 to 9 informs GCSE choices best able to support your child’s natural ability and career aspirations. Small teaching groups and superb pastoral care help every child to achieve results that reflect her capabilities. The success of this approach is confirmed by Dodderhill’s position as one of the best schools in Worcestershire.
A visit to Dodderhill, meeting our teachers and pupils, exploring our classrooms and grounds, will give you a feel for whether we are the right school for your child, a place where she will thrive personally and academically. In an informal interview with our headmistress Mrs Mawston, you can discuss her individual interests, abilities and expectations. Entrance Assessments are held in January each year but we are happy to consider applications at any time.
