Francis Holland, Sloane Square, SW1 is a day school of 450 girls aged 4-18; it has high academic standards and excellent pastoral care. There is a happy and purposeful atmosphere and pupils are respected as individuals. The school has traditional values with a modern outlook.
The challenging curriculum generates an enthusiasm for learning, intellectual curiosity and creativity. Girls are encouraged to value other people and to develop a sense of responsibility towards citizenship in addition to independence, self-confidence, adaptability and leadership.
With a thriving Sixth Form, the school achieved its best ever ‘A’ Level results (66% A and 89% A/B) in 2008. Sixth formers enjoy a flexible choice of ‘A’ Level combinations and a lively General Studies programme.
The constant upgrading of facilities enables the school to offer a strong extra-curricular programme including Music, Art, Drama and Sport. Clubs range from Animal Club and Junior Science Club to the Sixth Form Philosophy Society and French Film Club.
