Overview

Established in 1799 by the Moravian Church, Ockbrook School is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the UK. Drawing on our Moravian heritage we continue to maintain our Christian ethos and embrace students from a variety of racial, ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We pride ourselves on the happy atmosphere which touches everyone. In and around the school there is a calm and relaxed environment in which friendships flourish and pupils achieve. We particularly value the partnership between parents and staff; we want parents to feel comfortable talking to us and welcome their observations and knowledge of their children. We have created a dynamic learning environment with continued investment in staff development, learning facilities and resources. This commitment ensures that our pupils benefit from the breadth of their experience and have the very best opportunity to learn. Our success in following these principles is reflected in our exemplary academic results. In summary the aim of Ockbrook School is to provide an education that leads to confidence, achievement, a lifelong love of learning and a commitment to being good citizens.
