Overview

Palmers Green High School is an independent day school for approximately 320 girls aged 3 – 16. Located in the pleasant suburb of the London Borough of Enfield, the school has good transport links by car, bus and rail. In 2008 the school opened a new nursery for 3-4 year olds – The Alice Nursery – in Bush Hill Park which can accommodate up to 24 children.

The school has a reputation for excellence and our girls flourish in its friendly and challenging environment. At secondary level average teaching group sizes are 12 -14, helping the girls to achieve the very best results at GCSE. In 2008 7 girls were placed in the top ten nationally in at least one subject. Primary age pupils enjoy subject specialists teaching them in Art, DT, Drama, Music and PE – frequently in half class groups.

A broad range of extra-curricular activities enriches the multi-cultural school community and educational visits feature regularly in the school calendar with excursions to local, national and international places of interest. These include field trips, outdoor pursuits and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for senior pupils. There are also optional winter ski courses and watersports activity weeks.

Our motto, ‘By Love, Serve One Another’, epitomises the school’s special ethos, where individual talent is fostered, celebrated and appreciated, and where contribution to the community is greatly valued.

Palmers Green High School provides a challenging and supportive environment where every individual matters. In choosing our school parents can be confident that they have selected a first class education for their daughters.
