For over 125 years, Portsmouth High School has been delivering excellence in girls’ education.

Founded in 1882, by the Girls’ Day School Trust, to whom we are proud to belong today – the largest and most consistently successful family of independent schools in the UK; we have established an outstanding reputation for academic excellence and a happy, supportive environment.

We offer a rich and full curriculum, encouraging our girls to develop a love of learning and we celebrate each individual pupil’s achievements, no matter how big or small. We know that through providing a caring and challenging environment, where girls can take on responsibilities and leadership roles, they will grow in confidence and continue to succeed.
