Queen Mary's School (Thirsk)

Queen Mary’s is a small non-selective school set in a tranquil and caring environment. Renowned for its family atmosphere, Queen Mary’s has small classes, which are an ideal way of ensuring pupils receive individual attention. However Queen Mary’s has much to offer outside the classroom with an excellent reputation for pastoral care as well as high academic achievement. Music is a major strength with most pupils learning at least one instrument and every girl having the opportunity to sing in one of the four choirs.

The school also has a strong commitment to sport with every girl being able to partake in sporting activity daily from timetabled games lessons to kayaking. Many girls take full advantage of the on site stables, with livery available for their own ponies / horses. Lessons are taken at lunch time as well as after school.
