Redland High School For Girls is a caring and purposeful community that offers a fine academic education for pupils of varied ability and a wide range of extra curricular opportunities. Our experienced teachers inspire girls to think independently and discover their potential. We foster a sense of belonging that creates the security for girls to develop self-esteem and a strong work ethic rooted in high achievement. Our small classes and excellent pastoral care ensure the individual is at the heart of everything we do. Behind the historic façade of our beautiful main building, we provide all the modern facilities one would expect in a school dedicated to educating girls for tomorrow’s world.
The size of the Junior Section, 150 pupils, means that our girls have the advantage of being in a sheltered and protected environment where there is a strong sense of community. For busy parents we offer extended child care and our Redland Rascals holiday club.
Caroline Bateson, Headmistress, thinks that the school’s undoubted proficiency in supporting all its pupils comes from outstanding teaching and having a school of optimum size: large enough to make a considerable subject choice viable but small enough for each individual pupil to be nurtured. Scholarships are available for entry at 7+, 11+ 13+ and 16+. Help with fees is also available for entry to the Senior School.
