Saint Martin’s is a well-established day school with approximately 520 girls situated in a beautiful twenty acre site in the south of Solihull. Solihull is about 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre and is on the edge of a rural district within very easy reach of Warwick, Coventry and Leamington Spa.
Saint Martin’s provides first-rate education for girls from 2 years 9 months to 18 with excellent staff who are committed to enabling every girl to reach her potential. The school has academically high standards; in GCSE and A Level results for 2008 girls celebrated a 100% success rate. All girls achieved passes in 9 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above.
Classes are small. There is a warm, friendly, supportive environment. Throughout the school there is a wide range of enrichment activities included as part of the curriculum. Extra curricular activities range from Year 2 Spanish club through to calligraphy, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, music groups, Young Enterprise, drama productions and highly competitive sports teams. Study visits have included trips to Iceland, Italy and New York, and a Year 8 study week in France with Year 10 visiting the Battlefields of Normandy.
Facilities are excellent; recent additions being a swimming pool, extended Sixth Form Centre, state of the art ICT facilities across the school and a new library.
