St. Helen’s is a highly academic school for able girls. Pupils achieve outstanding examination results and go on to prestigious universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. In the Sixth Form, students are able to choose to study either A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We aim to give every pupil an academic, innovative and stimulating education, developing her intellectual, creative and physical talents to the full. Subject specialist staff inspire the girls, encouraging them to study independently and develop good study habits through stimulating teaching. We provide a friendly, supportive and well-ordered environment in which every girl is treated as an individual and where integrity, personal responsibility and respect for others are valued. Girls are encouraged to make a positive contribution to the school and the wider community, both as individuals and as team players.
Set in over 20 acres of green space in Northwood, Middlesex, we offer excellent facilities including specialist facilities for Science, Design and Technology, Art, Drama, Music and ICT; a state-of-the-art sports centre; a digital, multi-media language laboratory; an excellent library housing an extensive collection of books, ICT facilities, newspapers and periodicals; and well-equipped teaching rooms.
St. Helen’s is a vibrant community with many girls taking advantage of the well organised extra-curricular activities, including concerts, plays, CCF and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. We encourage girls to develop lifelong skills in a range of areas both within and outside the curriculum and to pursue their ambitions, ready to take their place in the adult world.
