St. Mary’s is a long-established warm, vibrant, academic school where emphasis is placed on character-building. The academic results are excellent and demonstrate the school’s continuing record of high achievement.

All the girls are encouraged to participate regularly in sports and they achieve excellent results in swimming, tag rugby, cross country, soccer, athletics and netball, to name just a few! This year a new full size, Sport England standard, sports hall is being built.

The Early Years provision at St. Mary’s was described as ‘outstanding’ and awarded the highest mark in every category in the 2008 Ofsted inspection.

The school is continually moving forward in other areas too, including, sport, music, drama, dance and the wide variety of clubs and societies. St. Mary’s has created special provision for gifted & talented pupils and in learning support. A spacious Art suite, fully-equipped science laboratories, two sports halls, two libraries, a hockey pitch, tennis courts, amongst other facilities, are set inside lovely landscaped grounds.
