Overview

The Kingsley School has a long history of achievement in every area of the curriculum and in a wide range of activities. Its traditions and caring ethos combine to make it a happy and secure environment for its pupils. Individual talents are recognised and nurtured. Being an all-age school enables us to create a family atmosphere, as older girls participate in the education and care of our youngest members.

We aim to foster self-confidence and self-esteem in a friendly, supportive setting. A strong pastoral care system ensures that each girl receives the personal encouragement which she needs to develop into a mature and independent young woman, prepared for the challenges of future life.

Music, Drama, Dance and Public Speaking flourish throughout the school. Sport is well catered for with pupils regularly representing Warwickshire in a variety of sports. Kingsley has highly successful riding teams. Clubs are many and varied. There is a thriving Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme with many pupils gaining the Gold Award before leaving school. An extensive range of field courses, visits, and expeditions is organised in Britain and overseas, including the popular World Challenge expeditions. In recent years these have taken place in South and Central America, Africa, South East Asia, with a further expedition planned for 2009 to Sri Lanka, where the school has links with a girls’ high school, and with an orphanage for tsunami victims. We hope that every girl can find some activity in which to participate with enthusiasm and success.
