The Mount School (London)

The Mount School is a GSA Independent Day school for girls set in the leafy suburb of Mill Hill Village with generous grounds, surrounded by fields, yet within easy reach of London. The Mount is a multi-faith, multi-cultural school with girls aged 3-16 years. We are a warm, family friendly school for happy children and we are very proud of our reputation as a caring and supportive school. Our aim is to provide a well rounded and sound academic education for all pupils. We offer outstanding added value and individual attention through our small class sizes with dedicated teaching staff. In the senior school we offer a wide range of GCSE (deleted A levels here) subjects and many extra curricular activities including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Our ESOL department offers support to overseas students who do not have English as their first language and cross-curricular support. Parents are an invaluable part of The Mount School and their involvement and support in school life is very much welcomed.

All admissions to The Mount School are made according to academic ability, assessments through interview, and in-class assessments for younger children. In September 2012 our new nursery class will open for girls aged from 3 years. The nursery class will enjoy a spacious, well equipped classroom with a secure outdoor play area, specialist activities such as ballet and french, automatic transfer into reception class and an extended day with convenient pick up and drop off times.
